What our guests say
All reviewsAfter a full week at the office my back was in knots. After the Thai massage I left completely relaxed — the effect lasted for several days.
The atmosphere here lets you switch off straight away. Warmth, scent, silence — and a really good Balinese massage. The perfect place to reset.
A professional approach from the very start — a short interview, adjusted pressure, no rush. I hadn't had a Shiatsu massage this good in a long time.

What is Balinese Pijat Bali massage?
Pijat Bali is a traditional ceremony from the island of Bali, combining Indian, Chinese and authentic Balinese techniques. Performed with warm coconut or aromatic oil, using long, flowing forearm strokes. The therapist also works acupressure points, releases muscles with thumbs and applies local stretching. For many guests this is the most enjoyable oil massage — deeply relaxing yet therapeutically effective.
The tradition of Balinese massage
Balinese massage draws from centuries of tradition on the island of Bali, blending Ayurvedic India, Traditional Chinese Medicine and local Balinese techniques. Each therapist usually trains for many years with senior masters, inheriting the distinctive forearm-and-thumb rhythm.
At Tera Thai we work with therapists from Bali itself — a guarantee of authentic technique, a balance of relaxation and therapeutic work, and a real ritual with incense and warm oils.
Variants of Balinese massage
Beyond the classic Pijat Bali we offer: Balinese with hot basalt stones (deep muscle release), with salt or coffee scrub (cleanses and smooths the skin), Balinese deep tissue (stronger pressure, recommended for athletes) and a 60-minute back-and-shoulders Balinese (great for a work break).
With hot stones
Warm basalt stones placed on energy lines and then used to massage muscles — deeply releasing.
With body scrub
Full-body salt or coffee scrub followed by classic Balinese massage with oil — leaves the skin exceptionally smooth.
Deep tissue
Stronger pressure with fascia work — for stiff muscles after training.
Who is Pijat Bali for
Balinese massage is for those who enjoy long, gentle strokes with aromatherapy. Recommended after office work, air travel, periods of stress or as a gift. Pijat Bali also works perfectly as a first-ever massage — no preparation or experience needed.
