Chinese cupping massage
Suction cups for the back and neck — one of the oldest Chinese bodywork techniques. A 60-minute session costs 249 PLN, 90 minutes — 349 PLN. Performed only at our Gdynia salon (Redłowo).
What this massage involves
The therapist first warms and oils the skin, then applies cups in which a vacuum forms. She glides them along the muscles of the back and neck, or leaves them in place for a few minutes — depending on how the body responds.
The suction lifts the skin and fascia instead of pressing into them — the opposite stimulus to a classic massage, which is why the technique is often chosen by people who already know the rest of our menu.
Round red marks usually remain on the skin afterwards. They are painless and fade on their own within a few days — we cover them in detail in our article about cupping massage.
The treatment step by step
- A short health interview — cupping has its contraindications, so we start with a conversation.
- Warming and oiling the skin of the back.
- Cup work: gliding along the muscles or stationary placement, following the body’s response.
- A calm end to the session and a moment of rest.

What the visit looks like
1. Consultation. A short health interview and a talk about where the body holds its tension.
2. Preparation. You can take a shower on site; fresh towels and linen come as standard. A short foot-washing ceremony precedes the massage.
3. Massage. The suction strength and pace are adjusted to your response — you can ask for a change at any moment.
4. Afterwards. A moment of rest and a glass of water. The marks fade on their own within a few days.

Contraindications and preparation
We skip the treatment in cases of fever or infection, fresh injuries and inflammation, thrombosis, skin lesions where the cups would work, and in the first trimester of pregnancy. With chronic conditions, please get your doctor’s approval first — every visit starts with a short health interview. The full list is in our contraindications guide.
If you have a trip, a photo shoot or a special occasion coming up, leave a few days of margin — the cup marks need them to fade.

Usually yes — round red circles are the skin’s normal response to suction, not a bruise from impact. They are painless and fade on their own within a few days. Keep them in mind when planning a visit before a trip, a photo shoot or a special occasion in an open-back dress.

For now we perform it only at the Gdynia salon, ul. Redłowska 37/10. The technique is not yet available in Gdańsk — if you are unsure, mention it when booking and we will suggest another one.
