FAQ

Frequently asked questions

  • Thai massage can be intense, but at Tera Thai we always adjust the pressure to your preference. Before the treatment the therapist will ask about your expectations — you can ask to change the intensity at any time.

  • A massage at Tera Thai in Gdańsk or Gdynia comes in 60, 90 or 120-minute variants. That time covers the full treatment — from a welcome and short consultation, through the massage, to a moment of rest at the end. We recommend arriving a few minutes early.

  • Yes — online booking via Booksy is available 24/7. Just click “Book” on this page. No registration is required. Both salons' Booksy profiles also list daily promotional offers. You can also call: Gdynia 730 823 434, Gdańsk 538 899 993.

  • Nothing in particular — at Tera Thai we provide towels, oils and clothing for Thai massage. Avoid heavy meals for at least an hour before your treatment.

  • Massage is not recommended during the first trimester. After week 12, gentler forms may be possible at Tera Thai, but you'll need your doctor's approval and must inform the therapist before the treatment.

  • Yes — at both Tera Thai salons, in Gdańsk and Gdynia, we accept card payments (Visa, Mastercard), cash and BLIK. Gift vouchers can be purchased online on our voucher page (Stripe payment) or in person at the salon. No deposit is required to book, except for groups of 3 or more people (30% deposit).

  • You can cancel or reschedule free of charge in the Booksy app no later than 24 hours before your visit. Later cancellations and no-shows carry a charge of 100% of the service value, collected automatically via Booksy — full rules are in our terms. If you cannot cancel in Booksy, call us: Gdynia 730 823 434, Gdańsk 538 899 993.

  • Both Tera Thai salons — Gdańsk (Zaspa) and Gdynia (Redłowo) — are open daily, including weekends and holidays, 12:00–22:00 (in Gdańsk, please confirm holiday hours by phone). We usually accept the last booking 60–90 minutes before closing.

  • Phone bookings and contact with the Tera Thai salons in Gdańsk and Gdynia are handled fully in Polish. During your visit you'll have no trouble communicating in English — the therapists also know basic Polish, so agreeing on pressure or mentioning any discomfort is never a problem.

  • Yes — full English service during the visit. Tera Thai is an authentic Asian massage salon with two locations: Gdańsk (Zaspa, ul. Hynka 18/lok. U13) and Gdynia (Redłowo, Redłowska 37 St.). Traditional Thai massage, Balinese massage, Lomi-Lomi, Shiatsu and couples massage, daily 12:00–22:00. Book online via Booksy 24/7.

  • Yes — at both Tera Thai salons, in Gdańsk and Gdynia, you can use the shower before and after your treatment. Fresh towels and linens for every guest are standard, and after an oil massage the shower makes it easy to comfortably continue your day.

  • For a first visit to Tera Thai and pure relaxation we usually recommend Balinese Pijat Bali or Hawaiian Lomi-Lomi — oil-based, gentle and enveloping. For tense neck and back muscles, classic Thai massage works best, and for targeted tension, Japanese Shiatsu. If you're unsure, use our 20-second massage matcher at the top of the Massages page, or give us a call — we'll help you choose.

  • The feeling of relaxation usually lasts from a few days to over a week — depending on your tension levels, stress and lifestyle. If tension keeps coming back, a session every 2–4 weeks is a good rhythm.

  • We chose both salons with easy access in mind. Gdańsk (Zaspa, ul. Hynka 18/lok. U13): parking by the salon, near tram stops and Zaspa SKM station. Gdynia (Redłowo, Redłowska 37/10): parking spaces nearby, close to bus stops and Redłowo SKM station. Directions in detail: the Gdańsk salon and the Gdynia salon.

  • Yes — at Tera Thai we do not perform massage in cases including fever and infections, fresh injuries and inflammation, thrombosis, skin conditions at the treatment site, and the first trimester of pregnancy. For chronic illnesses (including heart conditions, cancer, osteoporosis) prior doctor's approval is needed. That's why we carry out a short consultation before every treatment — tell us about your health and we'll choose a safe technique or suggest another date.

  • For your first visit to Tera Thai, arrive 5–10 minutes early. We start with a quiet welcome and a short conversation: any discomfort, contraindications, preferred pressure. Before the massage there's a brief foot-washing ceremony. For Thai massage you'll receive comfortable clothing; for oil massage, towels and a private changing area. After the treatment there's a moment of rest with warm tea, and you can take a shower. No rush — take as much time as you need. We've described the full first-visit experience step by step in a separate guide.

  • Of course — everyone is welcome at Tera Thai. Our therapists work with both women and men every day; the technique and pressure are always tailored during a short consultation before the treatment.

  • Every Tera Thai guest gets fresh linens and towels, a foot-washing ceremony precedes each massage, and an on-site shower is available before and after the treatment. These are standing standards in both salons — described in full on the About us page.
