Massage for developers — neck, shoulders, wrists
Hours of code review, two monitors, zero movement. A developer's tension “lives” in three zones: tech neck, forearms and wrists, and a closed-off chest — and that's exactly where we work: Shiatsu point work, Thai to open the chest. Gdańsk and Gdynia, evenings until 22:00.
Signs from the keyboard
- Tired fingers after long coding sessions
- A stiff wrist when flexing downward
- Neck stiffness and a “locked” head rotation
- Tight chest and shallow breathing
- A heavy head and tight neck after deadline sprints
Occupational tension in IT
Three classic problem zones: “tech neck” (the head pushed toward the monitors overloads the cervical spine), forearms and wrists (thousands of repetitive movements a day), and a closed-off chest that shallows the breath.
On top of the physical tension there's stress: sprints, deadlines and working “at full throttle” make it hard to switch off after an intense week.
A session for someone in IT combines Shiatsu point work on the neck, forearms and hands with Thai stretching of the chest and hips. No oil, in comfortable clothing — you can head back to work without a shower.

A rhythm for the keyboard
A 60–90 minute session every 2–3 weeks is a good rhythm for your wrists and neck; after a big release, add a full 90-minute reset. Also see massage for office workers and massage for stress.
Frequently asked questions
-
If the tingling shows up at night, covers the thumb-index-middle fingers, and gets worse, that's a typical picture of carpal tunnel syndrome — get a medical diagnosis first. If it's more tiredness and tension in the forearms after a long coding session, we can work on that during the massage.
-
Shiatsu, when point tension in the neck, forearms and hands dominates. Thai, when your whole body feels “stuck together” and you need your chest and hips stretched out after sitting. Both are done without oil — perfect for a break.
